FREAKIE - Forget about the licensing issues. Just you get your car and get on with your airports. When the LA catch up with you, say you are running a 'members' club'. I wonder what their answer will be...

Yeah i have read a few of the posts on here, but I don't want to risk the aggro of runninng bent, or risking anything. I don't doubt that theres plenty doing it doing it dodgy.

I wouldn't be posting here if i wanted to run bent Sussex, it would be easy to read & NOT post ;)

Thanks for the insurance ideas, looks like I am going to end up paying £2000 ish which is far too much IMHO, but if that's what it has to be

7 seater / trailer etc. I am obviously missing something vital here ?? There's others that do run Lucida / previa type vehicles around here, although they may well be 8 seaters. What's the trailer issue with 6/7 seaters ?

Well it's not so much the number of seats as that many of these people carrier-type vehicles have very little luggage space if all the seats are being used - youlll have no chance of getting six sets of golf clubs and six cases in a Galaxy or Previa, for example.

So unless you have a stretch Caravelle or Transporter or suchlike then ideally you need a top box or trailer, or you can't use the back seats unless it's only drunks with a kebab you're carrying

And some areas do not allow the drawing of trailers or the use of roof racks/ top boxes.

Different areas have different rules, here, you cant run a 7 seater (to carry 6 passengers) like zafira galaxy etc because the rear passengers dont have access to a door, they have to move a seat to get out in an emergency.

BTW, i'm not a union man or anything. But if the GMB act anything like it's area representatives, i'd steer well clear, who on earth would want to be represented by some ranting lunatic.

Sounds like not such bad news then ;) A local guy that's been on PH Airports for 5 years or more rund a Lucida wit a trailer & I was thinking of something a bit bigger than a Lucida, with a similar sliding door, s hopefully no big deal.
