Yes they use them, and yes some dont have doorsign's. But as JD said, if i'm not contracted to a company (operator) and i'm not a the mo because i'm doing something else, what am i supposed to display? Or aren't i allowed to use my car unless i'm on a system?
Warrington LA do tend to make up the rules as they go along sometimes.

Same old same old, had a phone call today about not displaying door signs again, i explained i'm not on any operator system and not working as PH, but all he kept saying was "put operators signs on , or be suspended". Ive removed my plates for now because i dont have time to mess around with Magistrates Court etc, but thats where it'll end up. The rules aren't clear as to when they should be displayed, but Warringtons Licencing Officer's interpretation of the rules isnt always correct in my opinion.

well I think its a load of Sh*t what they are telling you, ,surely if your not working ,your not working, I for one remove my hack plates and top light when I am not working, or out with the wife, I feel I am being left wide open if I park up anywhere, if the dressage was on, ie. plate and top sign I would end up with a smashed window with the scum looking for the goodies
its boll*cks, stuff em

I had a letter from the PCO because I have got Union flag stickers on my car and someone had reported me to the PCO. The regs state that no external signage is allowed so I am breaking the law. I have not taken them off yet though  .

Why do you men have to be so pig headed, if it says in the regs you can't have them why put them on and then blame the council when they point out your mistake, instead of being anti everything why not try to work with people

It's not pig headed misstake, if people didnt challenge these things to find out the details of various bye laws we'd all be up the creek.
All laws need to be as near black and white as possible, just take Warrington as an example, if they're not clear then the same law can be interpreted in a thousand different ways by a thousand different LA'S.
