The council and police stopped dozens of limos a month ago and not many got away ok.

I heard reports that some drivers said they didn't know the name of the owners, and I saw the biggest Hummer the world has ever seen get towed away.

I think it was over-weight. In my view by about 50 tonnes. :D

Yes indeed mate, no-one in their right mind would say that there has not been a problem with the limo world, although i suspect your figures are slightly exadgerated  However with the major shake up on limos things are now rapidly changeing and i would say to every bad op there are now 10 good, surely this must be seen as a step in the right direction and believe me you have 2 organisations out there which are working hard for the industry, roll on 2008 and i feel sure it will be 20 good ops to 1 bad, warm regards

Self drive hire not licenced, dont be so wet thats why its self drive hire so long as the driver has the relevant qualifications to drive such a vehicle and the correct paperwork they dont need a limo licence

No tips can i please suggest you check out the website at the bottom of my posts, you will soon see that we are actually licenced and indeed have 8 weekly checks on our 8 seater limos, the limo coach has a coif and the Navi is fully schedule six, we also get regular visits from south west VOSA agents so to be fair i think you will find we are safer than most, please do not assume that we run an unsafe service before you know all the facts, and i moan about unlicenced hire and reward ABSOLUTELY and i think i have earnt the right to fella, warmest regards :D

If I wanted to join talking limos I would have long ago, but talking limos likes to look after its own little mind people who like run over weight trucks cars infact any limo then try to justify it.
So please tell your bol@@@@ someway like talking limos

To me talking limos is a place where you can go & get a back door education on how to run a limo that is over weight & as a 16 mini bus but there are people that like to do things right.

Not the back door way you need to pull your head from out of your a@@@@@ for 10 min & see what happening to the limos in the UK.

But people like you are very much like an ostrich with your head burred in the sand until you hurt someone you will never give a DAME so to me you are the one showing you ignorance.

Hi Kermit thank you for the PM but you are wrong I dont have a issue with limos I am quite happy with the 8 seat council licenced limo. I have no issue with the 10 or 12 propper coif right hand drive limo van things. But what I do have a issue with is vechiles that are not suitible for hire & reward for what ever reason VOSA states and you lot give a bung to some shaddy barrister to find a bl@@@y big hole at the back door.
If VOSA say they are not suitable to carry passengers how come they suddenly become suitable becase you surposserly hire them self drive.
Same vechile same amount of passengers only differnts is the words hire & self drive..
If you are self drive hire I sould be able to hire yours from you and get the other guy limousine driver to drive me. do you want to take my booking...I will decide where we go etc as I am the hirer. There should not be any problem as this should be normal practice, if true self drive hire is in place as you state.
One other point if the said vechile is stopped by plod and faults are found
faulty tyres or what ever , I the hirer would be held to book as the said vechile is on hire to me and I am employing the driver.does the mugs you hire to understand this.Normal; practice is the hirer is responable as it is out of the hire companies control..
Thats the route plod will take if as you state it is true self drive hire.
Thats cool hire from you and the punters pays any fines for any faults you have...

Thank you for your questions, to be honest i dont rightly know the honest answer to it though and openly admit this, however i will find out the answer and be happy to get back to you, however i am glad to see that you are not totally against limos, thats a start, i can see why you would be juvious about the safety aspect but as i have just explained to Limo driver via pm the schedule 6 will not allow a limo that would be overweight to have paperwork to carry 16 passengers, all this is worked out and then the relevant paperwork issued, for example our ~Navi was only authorised to carry 14 although it was made to carry 16, so you see we are in no way putting anyones safety knowingly in jeopardy, i would also like to point out that there has never been a fatality in a limousine, that speaks for itself. I would also like to ,point out at this stage that the ELA have now come up with a new system which 2 limos have been tested on and its somewhere betweeen a schedule 6 and a coif, VOSA are very happy with this and have endorsed it as such so you see there are a lot of things going on in the limo world that people are not aware of and neither do i expect them too, this is wht people such as myself are more than happy to try and answer your questions, kind regards

I will await the answer with interest..I did in 1999 drive for a limo company for while,
on a very serious note the passengers you get in a limo are the worst tippers ever...no joke. the odd one good but on a whole cr@p.Give me airport work they always tip the best, on avarage £20 a time :P :P

ps what the ##ck is the ELA.. I have heard of the ELO but did not think much of them.not my type of music..
