Yes indeed there are 2 limo associations, you have the national limousine and chauffeur Association and the ELA, the ELA has been formed though to include all european ops and try and get 1 licene for all ops european wide as they dont wish to alienate anyone surely this is the way forward or would you disagree?

If the bus folks will license a Tuk Tuk, then they will license anything.

But the law says they must license anything they are presented with, as long as it's got an MOT.

The world has gone mad. [-(

What you on about what 13 seater, nowhere in any of the posts does a 13 seater get mentioned, and if your referring to the 16 seater limo coach it has a UK COIF and its right hand drive, the Navi is legal to carry 14 passengers under schedule 6 and its left hand drive, i have hidden nothing from you what so ever and have answered all questions honestly, can i suggest you possibly start rereading the posts!!!

As per usual your ignorance really is beginning to shine, but hey like i say we are all entitled to our opinions and as for the NLCA ( get it right James ) Yes we wanted to take it forwards and yes we failed as they dont want change as badly as we do, We the ops who are passionate about our industry then formed an association that cares and has already made many acheivements but you tend to ignore that part of my posts, i wonder why, the truth hurts doesn't it fella, as ever warmest regards to you

Just another couple of points to bare in mind here folks, We are all aware that VOSA officials and certain government officials view these sites, so lets be honest here why would i type all this info and open myself wide up to prosecution if what i was saying was not right and legal, think about that 1 for a wee while before you come back with any back handed comments!!

Also i would like to point out at the first open meeting of the ELA we had more ops attend than have ever attended an NLCA meeting and in a very short space of time we have over 40 members, Why is this i ask, well the answer is simple WE care about OUR industry and want to take it forward, wehave many aims and goals but to be honest our main priority and its essential is to ACHEIVE 1 LICENCE FOR ALL LIMO OPS SO AS WE ARE ALL LEGAL, We are not taxis and dont wish to be classed as such and want /need our own licencing format to comply with, Now surely you Mr limo driver and with public safety in mind ought to be supporting this, afterall your making enough noise about it, or is it a simple case of some of us will do all the hard work for everybody elses gain as always.

I would also like to thank the taxi forum administration for allowing this debate to go on within their site as to be fair apart from the legal and licencing side i really dont think they are that interested in this, so once again thanks :D

What do you mean by
.........................................................................................................
WE care about OUR industry and want to take it forward, wehave many aims and goals but to be honest our main priority and its essential is to ACHEIVE 1 LICENCE FOR ALL LIMO OPS SO AS WE ARE ALL LEGAL.
...........................................................................................................

You want to get the same licence for the 8 people limos & for the 16.
that can never happen. 2 differnt types of classes.

the 8 people limos are now sorted and you are trying to push yourselfs in on them with motors not fit for perpose accoding to VOSA to take more than 8

I drive now and then a 16 seat execitive bus, tell me why you should be treated differnt to the guy that ownes that. If he does not comply he cant use it. not flawnt the rules like you spivs do...
One set of rules ALL should abid by..

When i say 1 licence i mean exactly that, but of course i realise these vehicles are different classes, there could be variations in that licence to cover the up to 8,s and a variation to cover the over 8's and up to 16, the 1 thing i really fail to understand here is why you knock people that are at least prepared to acknowledge there is a problem but are at least trying to do something about it, surely your efforts would be better spent on bothering the people that are totally unlicenced and dont give a monkeys, just a thought fella!!! kind regards
