On saturday morning i picked up a job off the rank a young couple looking a bit worse for wear going home ( about 9.10 am) Dropped them off and went and picked my next booking up just as I was pulling up at the bus station to drop them off the phone rang. it was the couple i had just dropped off he's left his mobile in the taxi so I immediately searched the vehicle and couldn't find it Oh he says and hung up
30 seconds later he's on the phone again it must be there again I explained to him that there was no where else to look and I'd not heard the phone ring. I must have left it in the bar can you go and knock on the door and bring it back up to me i'll give you a tenner. the bar he'd come out of was only round the corner so to get him off the phone i agreed to go and ask
Got to the bar got them to open the door and explained to them about the phone bar was searched no sign but as he was a mate of the barman the barman knew the number and phoned it to see if they could hear it ringing in the bar after about 6 rings the phone was answered guess who by ! followed about 30 seconds later by a very apologetic phone call !
And guess which phone he'd been phoning me on !!!!!
