Well give em there due at least they are trying to get it licenced and all correct, Had their research been a bit better they would of found this out before hand, although i agree it would appear to be red tape issues that is stopping them so i do feel for them!!!!!

Maybe if they spend a few more euros they could employ a good solicitor to find em a legal way through this, just for you NO TIPS :lol: :lol:

Its a Bl@@@y Fire engine and should be used as such. you dont get mini buses being used to put out fires.
For safety sake lets get back to using all the right vechiles for there right job..
its just the spives trying to make a fast buck. wont be long before lives are lost & then you will need your solicitor Kermit

We have one licenced in the Borders, but by the traffic commissioner, and it only cost him £35 for the licence, but he will still come under the scrutiny that all HGV@s come under.

NO TIPS, Again i point out just how silly you really are, i have stated before and i shall state again just for you, i no longer run the limos so why would i need solicitors, however i will still defend peoples right to make a living, But as it happens on this occasion i personally agree that fire engines should be just that, ie a fire engine. Again though this is an individuals choice and so long as they are licenced and legal then what does it matter to any of us!!! I only hope that in future you can see the error of your ways as you really do seem to come across as such a bitter sadistic person, live and let live fella!!!!! :wink:

You mean a vehicle to be used for carrying passengers (and drunken ones at that) will come under the same scrutiny as a vehicle used for carrying widgets?

Makes you wonder why there are PSV rules at all.

Agreed hence why their should be a very different form of licencing for these kind of vehicles, if they really must have them in the first place!!!

It is a fact that if VOSA stop a coach full of passengers to carry out a routine inspection and something is found wrong with it, the passengers just have to sit and wait until it is either fixed or a replacement vehicle arrives.
Same scenario with a truck full of animals (in which the the chassis and axles etc could be the same as the coach) and they would allow the truck to continue to a place where the animals could be unloaded and watered so as not to cause them any stress.

The human passengers don't get stressed of course they are quite happy to stand about in the heat or cold/rain.
