I find that remark quite funny considering I haven't posted a great deal in the last few weeks. I don't know how you see TDO but I see it as the leading source of information and news for the Taxi trade on the Internet. It has taken constant hard work to build this site and to maintain it to the high standards we are accustomed but the good thing is, this site will only get better.

This might be a wake-up call for YOU but I think you'll find that 95 per cent or more of the Taxi Trade has never even heard of TDO, so your claims are incorrect.

So you spend a few hours doing research, so what, you have nothing better to do.

I am not interested in what the NTA has done or not done in the past, I am interested in what it will do in the future, and I might say, its priorities are certainly not playing with a website.

The trade needs to become professional, but that is not something you advocate.

The reality, is that those who have heard of TDO can avail themselves of what we have to offer for FREE. The same doesn't apply to the NTA and that is precisely my point.

I don't recall mentioning anything about me doing research. I distinctly said "you don't really have a clue as to what sacrifices people make in spending time on here or on the internet in general researching material for "their own" local organisations".

Why is it you can never take in what is actually written?

Many people, before they join an organisation prefer to look at its track record, therefore its past is not to be discarded lightly. You are no doubt aware of many people on TDO voicing their disenchantment with organisations such as the NTA etc. The NTA is an organisation stuck in the past and like you it prefers to tinker with legislation instead of getting the job done once and for all. Both you and the NTA are philistines when it comes to action, you prefer the system of don't rock the boat and councillors know best attitude.

I have a message for you and your fellow philistines, "councillors know sweet FA" and they prove it every day of the week.

The majority of the Taxi trade want rid of councillors so what are you going to do about that? And while we are at it you have been in the game some 30 years and what have you achieved in that time? What has the NTA Achieved? The answer is not a lot.

And before you ask what have I achieved, I'll remind you that I don't represent anyone but myself. However I'm sure there are some people around the UK who might be a little better off from the assistance of this website, either directly or indirectly.

If you care to go along to Carlisle magistrates court next Thursday at 2pm you might see what can be achieved on behalf of the majority of the Taxi trade in Carlisle, i'm sure you wish them well in righting a wrong that should never happened in the first place.

After 30 years you've realised that the Trade needs to become professional?

I'm sure we would all like to know your assessment of the word professional in relation to the context in which you put it? Which particular brand of professionalism can we look forward to? We see a lot of bodies referring to the professional taxi driver but not one of them can put together a meaningful definition to the attributes of a professional cab driver? Both the GMB and Taxitalk magazine highlight the fact that they represent the professional cab driver but they never offer a meaningful appraisal of what constitutes a professional cab driver? In respect of TaxiTalk magazine I should point out that they don't say they represent the professional cab driver, only that they are the magazine for the professional cab driver.

Maybe you can put the record straight considering you know what your talking about?

Regards

JD

How is it that when people like you, CC and TC make an as* of themselves they always claim it's a windup?

Perhaps when you have finished winding me up Trevor you can answer some of the points I raised in my previous post?

I think Trevor is one of those people who think that, just because he’s made a few quid on the backs of the servile this is what makes him clever.

I don’t think so Trevor my old son...you are just trash with cash and that’s all you ever will be.

Save the; Taxi baron, I’m a big shot routine for those that don’t know any better.

BTW, Trev if you are that clever, then why are you on here making an as* of yourself at every opportunity?

Who said I was clever, or is that just the way you see me. you don't have to be clever to keep away from the bookies and the casino, you don't have to be clever to make a good living, the only thing you must not be is stupid. so were does that leave you, I think I'll let you carry on in your own little world, blaming everyone else because life is not fair , get real and get a life.

Do tell me skull the last time you sold your free place, and had all that money, what did you do with it, did you start another business and make it more, or did you just piiss it up against the wall.

I'm dissapointed in you Trevor, I thought at least you would be able to inform us of your definition of what constitutes a professional Taxi driver? Considering it was you who made that statement.

Perhaps we should start from the position where we consider every cab driver as being professional but on occasions some drivers act in an unprofessional manner? Therefore that would make us all equal wouldn't it?

JD
