Well it can't be gone for good. After all, who recently said:

"Web sites, now there's a can of worms, we the GMBPDB are in the process of setting up a site to debate freely the issues of our industries and any political issues YOU deem relevant to it. Access to the debating forums will not be limited to union members, we will encourage all to partake. We will not follow some other sites and CENSOR your posts unless they are libellous or RACIST. We enjoy free speech and unlike some other CRETINS who pollute this area will encourage it! We have no hidden agenda (delimitation or whatever) we hope too through debate increase membership in our UNION we know we have the rescources and skills to assist our industries into the 21st century..."

I have no objections to him rejoining BUT the flame wars between him and GBC did put this forum in jeopardy both from the point of view of rules on the use of bad language online and getting sued over some of the STRONG opinions put forward so he would have to agree to tone it down a bit

The bit I can't quite work out is why the OAP and his two stooges don't use it.

Or maybe it's a case of them not wanting the top dogs at the GMB seeing what pathetic examples they are. :-$

Although I never got involved or took sides in the heated debates that seemed to follow Mr Flanagan around, I don't think anyone can say that those who did take part, did not get a fair crack of the whip, when it came to freedom of expression? This site is more open to free speech than most and will only take action that amounts to what people see as censorship if it feels there is a good reason for doing so. That good reason normally concerns the implications for TDO.

Dusty is normally the voice of reason when it comes to posts that sail close to the wind but I think everyone might agree that they get a fair crack of the whip on TDO in that respect and it is somewhat surprising that a person who probably sailed the closest to the wind, should now criticise this website for affording him that privilege?

Regards

Well at least you tried to bring life back to that site.

But I would have thought it a tad daft a forum banning people before they even post.

What does the OAP say about freedom of speech?

Or is this yet another policy shift?

Maybe, just maybe, if the London and S.E GMB PDB started working for the lads, as opposed to the current policy of being an 'uncle Tom' to the bosses and the plate-barons, then more people would take an interest in them.

I just hope the leadership enjoy spending their 30 pieces of silver.
