Would that be the week she was driving a three year old TX2 with no known problems, or two weeks later when it fell to bit's when it was driving it's limosine? Or was that the week her children numbered two but one developed a horrible disease as the third one had caught a cold whilst driving the fourth Private Hire car? Or was that the week it got raped by 8 guys in her new Land Rover Taxi, but it was back on nights the next again week in the new TX4 which had'nt been released yet? Or was that the week six people died in it's cab after attempting to rape her, so she went out and bought a Bus as well as her three new Ford Mondoe Taxi's?

Or would that be the week where she was actualy a sad middle aged man with no life who gets some form of sexual pleasure in pretending to be a female Taxi driver?

FFS. :?

Or this crap

Having the need for a 6 seater this afternoon I borrowed an E7 from my office and only someone like me (female and blonde) could have encountered the problems that I did............ or is this the norm :? :?

Firstly I tried to put in a "Voice" request and after several failed attempts I finally rang up - only to find that I couldn't get "voice" as I hadn't actually switched the radio on - doh

That problem sorted - I ventured out again only to have the rear door sorta come off its runners and sorta just hang there looking as stupid as I felt. One mechanic later the door was fully functional again BUT the rear interior light refused to go out! Two hours and one removed bulb later this problem was resolved  Only for the door to part company with the runner again

When I eventually got back to the base for a much earned cuppa my back ached and I had lost all feeling in my left foot due to the heavy clutch! How do you guys do it?

Reality smacked me about the face and I suddenly realised just why I went back to a standard salon car! Long live saloons! 8) 8)

Whats happened this week then? Found any nuclear devices in the rear of your TX / Mondeo / Bus / Sports car / PH x 6?

Any mass muders in the back of the aforementioned vehicles? Multiple attacks and rapes perhaps? but back in time for a sandwich and to put the 2 / 3 / 4 kids to bed?

:D

Started with a TXii. Then E7. No problem. Except forgot I cannot turn on a sixpence. Certainly more economical both buying and running and repair. Coz you are not stuck with the only hackney garage in town who are a bunch of rip off merchants.Extended ramp was easier but a pain gettign it out of the back. But instead of a sharp short gradient you have a longer smaller gradient.
Started my driving in 1979 with Post Office. After learning in a 50 Bedford then drove transits and vans up to 750wt. no pwered asisted steering or brakes Don't like saloons. But could rip your arm off if you do an emergency stop and the wheel "whips" back. Had teh job of taking every clapped out vehicle down to the garage. No brakes, no clutch over 2nd gear. Steering only turns to the left. Everything since has been a piece of cake. I suppose something which feels like a mail van seems normal to me. At last mailbags don't try talking to you although I did have an interesting conversation with a Overseas recorded delivery who was going to miss his family and wanted advice how to survive in a Kalcutta sorting office. He was a mail (male) of letters. Lookign for a new post in his life.

OK I'll stop.

If SAFETY is to be addressed by all and for all then the female problem of inappropriate sexual interest has to be given respect and taken on board both for passenger and driver. 99% of female response stated they had experienced inappropriate behaviour. This ruins any chance of cleaning up the TAXI IMAGE if it is not addressed. Neuroticsm comes froma perceived fear or anxiety. This has been learnt by previous experience. As most have experienced an inappropriate driver before they leave their teens and that affects their perception of further drivers it ahs to be taken on board. Many wiil only get in the back and many will not catch a taxi at all.

There is a lot of interest in cleaning up the taxi business of the small element that destroys its reputation. Can't do that if the culture is still dismissive of female anxieties and problems.

Women will have to sort out thier own threats and problems and keep the empathy and sharing between themselves. And find our own solutions. Can only garner support from those who know. Just ask that others respect that this is a BIG part of female life and is actually still the No1 cause of female deaths and ill health in this country and across the world. That is the statistic behind the problem. Not female nueroticism but the No1 threat to female health.

If anyone wants to create a male/female divide oevr thisa i am not entering into it. I have been active in promoting and improving everyone's well-being in every job I have been in. And set up special in hospital seminars for male health. So don't get on that arguement becuase it don't woka nd it doesn't wash.

Wish everyoen well and everyone a safe journey and go home still in one piece.

Junie

Could you explain please - I drive a 53 plate Octavia, and the other halfs Mondeo if I have to and I'm quite happy with them thanks very much. Yes I have a couple of Voyagers and a Transit but wouldn't drive them. Had an E7 on loan but not enough room to get my bulk behind the wheel. As I've said many a time over - I am NOT freeking Tigger; although I know her! I spend most of my life on the office end of the radio thanks all the same, but I'd far prefer to be out on the road and actually earning money.

Oh and before you ask I'm not Junie either! I'm NOT female.
