Jasbar I have a complaint in with the Strathclyde Police at the moment for the same type of attitude and lack of adherence to procedure in recording incidents and have received a reply advising I will be visited shortly by a senior officer to discuss how to resolve the situation.

Only one thing though, when I posted details of an incident that happened to me you were the only one to be a condescending pr**k about it so maybe it is something about your own manner that brings this onto yourself.

Usally when I get stopped by the police it is because I HAVE done something wrong, I just say i'm sorry, be polite and lick arse and move on.
I never give the police attitude, just be polite, they do a very difficult job under very difficult circumstances.

Agreed and its a well known fact that if you pass the attitude test they are more than human in the way they treat you, but they still have a job to do, however as in all walks of life you always get the bad apple who thinks they are GOD

I never lick arse when faced with attitude and I don't just let it slip by.

I hate to point this out Rambo but the Police are there to serve you.

Your problem is you've got it the wrong way round. You don't do yourself or anyone else any favours by accepting public servants abusing the power you give them. All you do is make it worse for all concerned. If you bend over and take it up the arse they expect everyone else to do the same.

In Scotland police complaints are not investigated by an independent body. This means they get away with murder when it comes to abusing their powers. The complaint stops with the Chief Constable. You can have the complaint looked at by the Inspectorate of Constabulary (more cops), to see if the correct procedures have been followed but they don’t re-investigate the complaint. If the Chief Constable decides not to take any action, it ends there.

I was assaulted by a police officer in front of witnesses. I asked for him to be charged. The Procurator Fiscal (PF) decided it was “not in the public interest” to prosecute. This is what they tell you when they sweep it under the carpet. They will not even give you an explanation as to why it’s “not in the public interest” to proceed with the case. I can just imagine what the PF would have said had I retaliated.

BTW, in Scotland you can only claim self-defence if you can prove you under threat of a constant and sustained attack. I would have been charged with assaulting a police officer simply for retaliating.

BTW

I was asking for the officer's number at the time of the incident. He refused to give me it. I then tried to write it down copying it off his uniform. He then forcefully pushed me out of the way. All of this was witnessed by 3 independent witnesses who all gave statements.

Not in the public interest

Perhaps it's just because I have some pride and refuse to be subjugated by public servants.

Unlike you of course with your pathological servility who would probably have got off on the attention you'd been given.
