BTW Mr. T, to repay a good turn is often seen as a burden… to revenge some wrongdoing, a pleasure.

What the feck are you own about? The trade lost the War a long time ago and it was guys like you that were leading the charge.

What you are proposing is collaboration with the occupying force and not taking the ground back under your own control.

That sounds like a speech from Hitler

It still sounds like a speech from hitler..

well boys and girls that has been some lively debate !! and i see why councils will always win

They don't always win, and there are some councils that don't want a ruck.

Name of the game IMO is to get the council to think they are doing you a small favour when in fact they are doing you a big favour.

And be clued up enough to tell them at an early stage if what they want is legally permitted.

anyway not sure who mentioned standards is the way of getting more custom or some thing like that ?

well next april we have been a family run business for 50 years we now have just under 400 cars and do over 135 thousand hires a week !!

i dont think the public use us for not having standards and i dont think the councils and there merry men can tell me anything i dont already know

in a previous post i mentioned i have been to high court twice as councils dont like operations that bite back and (win) they want you all to stay small enough to bully.

the only way to et some where as a trade is to stand together as one voice and i dont think that will happen while there is air in my lungs.

Does it not pi$$ you off when you see your reputation tainted by people who don't operate to your standards.

Cause it does me.

Mr Skull,

In another thread you disclosed the fact that you had a "little run in" with an adversary you disclosed that you were waiting in a face painting queue.

I suppose you were getting your cross of St Andrew "topped up".

On the contrary GA, I hate all that Scottish parochial patriotic shi*e, all most as much as I hate the, little Englander my house is my Castle, made in England, man the barricades bollix.

My interest is in what goes on in-between your ears and not the colour of your skin, your religion or your nationality.

I am very sceptical about any construct and accept nothing at face value.

You and Mr. T on the other hand are pathological ar*e kissers but that goes without saying.

Forgive me if i am wrong GA but i thought you were a union man and a voice of the people and if so, your above quote seems a bit strange.

Nothing strange about it, GA thinks he sets the standard by selling you out to the authorities.

No solidarity here only a silver platter.

The bold GA is more than happy with a pat on the head. Mr. T on the other hand looks for a little cash to change hands for a job well done.

Give me two examples of when I have sold out to the authorities Skull.

As far as being the "voice" of anything.
My resignation from local representation was some time ago now Badger ................. I still believe in strong representation ............ I believe that every representative body should have constructive diolougue seeking non contentious issues to challenge together.

I believe in a professional trade with high standards.

GA, face it, you think that being a brownnoser gives you some kudos in the eyes of those in authority. You can’t help it. My bet is that no one has ever taken you seriously, until you fell into the taxi trade. Now you’ve been found out, again, but you just can’t help banging the same drum. Why don’t you try developing your own opinions without looking for someone to pat you on the head? You just might surprise yourself.

Btw, the only thing you believe in is hearing your own voice while trying to convince yourself you thought of it first.
