Neither of us (or your tomtom) have a clue what the traffic is like.

This was not done with tom tom but the London A to Z and its the shortest possible route that can be driven, he could have walked there quicker in 6 Min's

Personally I would have gone up Northumberland Avenue then up the Mall. Straight up Constitution Hill to Hyde Park Corner. Along Park Lane to Marble Arch. Take the Edgeware road and turn Left into Sussex Gardens. The hotel is a short way down on the right hand side. The taxi driver went along Bayswater road and entered Sussex Gardens from the west which is easlier further.

Steady on skippy.
Thats 26.8 MPH. At that speed you would do a marathon in about an hour!

Most fit healthy folk would take about 40 minutes to walk 2.68 miles.

Well book a Minicab next time. :-({|=

How many Hotels are there on Sussex Gardens? 60? 70?

Edgware Road is solid 24/7. Bayswater is always quicker, but thats why I'm a qualified London Cabbie, and your not.

Really? Stick to Galashiels Skippy. Leave the negotiation of London to those that spend 3 years learning it.

I would have thought that one of Londons finest would have known exactly where the hotel was and There wasn't much traffic around at all.
I would think that Londons finest thought I was just another tourist and ripped me off.

Why would I want to know anything about downtrodden flea pits on Sussex Gardens? That's where the skinflints stay.

Why would I want to go up Edgware Road and negotiate solid traffic and 7 sets of ATS, when theres only one going via Bayswater Road?

I'd stick to Limo's, as it's clear you know feck all about negotiating the streets of London, or the London Taxi trade.

I'd further recommend you use a Minicab next time your in London, they'll be right up your street, thats why we have them, to satisfy both ends of the customer market .

You like a bit of cheap? If you were one of Britains best trained Taxi drivers, working in Britains bussiest Taxi trade, you could book the better Hotels in Central London, and the bigger better Airlines. :D
