How much is the Court Case going to cost you?

Don't worry about the LTDA, they wouldn't have helped you, they get someone off a parking ticket and give it a two page spread in the paper as if they're the saviours of the trade. 8000 members paying £16 a month and they're too scared to upset Ken.

I have sent it to most daily papers,Watchdog,ITV,"Don`t get done get Dom" ( New tv show) ,Top gear, numerous web sites, and I send correspondence and regular e mails to Mark Fryer,Manganese Bronze.

Needless to say he wont speak to me.When I phone LTI they say they are not allowed to talk to me and put the phone down !

Each Director of Manganese Bronze and LTI have had a file sent to them
of all the faults and a copy of the engineers report, they just refer me to their T Hattersley,If they came down out of their Ivory Tower for 5 minutes I am 100% sure they would be disgusted with the faults on my vehicle described by Trevor Hattersley as "Inherent Characteristics"

Believe me I truly think I have explored most avenues in the past 10 months, which is why I am now taking the matter to Court.

Good luck with the case, keep us all posted, is there anyway you could get sales suspended through the courts until yours comes up.
maybe through a court order :?: :?:
PS google do a spell checker on there tool bar

I disagree, then I would.

The LTDA have taken LTI and the London dealerships to task on many occasions, you know fine well that LTI withdrew advertising from 'Taxi' for nigh on 4 years after the critisism of the TX2, and ANY design faults on the new model will be informative for the thousands of drivers such as myself who are thinking about a new Taxi. I can see know reason for any trade body to withold that kind of information.

However, I've done a lot of asking around over the last couple of days, and have found the vast majority of drivers happy with their new purchases. This does'nt detract from the above cab, but it seems he really did get the 'Friday cab' from KPM.

I had one last year, albeit for a few days whilst my own one was having accident damage rectified, and hand on heart, I thought it was a great drive, no clunks or crunches on the one I had.

I wish him well with the legal action, but I still believe that £16 is little to pay for the legal help you could have had as a member . . . God I sound like Terry?

Are you going to the small claims court?

with the faults on my vehicle descibed by Trevor Hattersley as "Inherrant Characteristics"

Mr.Hattersley has got to be one of the most obnoxious men this side of the Atlantic ! LTI took my cab back to coventry and discovered that they built it wrong..then after putting 10 inch of weld in the passenger compartment floor, refused to pay any compensation for that very fact ! When i spoke with Hattersley on the last occassion he threatened me with his legal team, so i assured him that LTI would not sell a vehicle in Dundee or it's surrounding areas....and how many have they sold ?? Yep you got it..Not even a request for a brochure.

Very accurate desciption of our man "Trev",he has his head so deep in the sand that he will never see day light,or the obvious.

If he put as much effort into solving design problems as he does into writing evasive letters,LTI Taxis might just produce a consistant quality product.

There must be a fair few decent TX4 out there, the real question is why do they not put their hands up and rectify those that are seriously defective. ?

Remember I returned my vehicle to KPM the very next day with these serious defects.I have spoken to over 40 drivers with the same or similar faults, and they are all getting the brush off from LTI KPM and M & O.

I think it is fair to expect a purpose built £35000 vehicle to be fit for purpose !

To answer an earlier question on cost,my legals so far are £250 for a Solicitor and £600 to appoint a Barrister to represent me in court. The claim is to large for the normal small claims path.

I will pursue this until I either have a vehicle that is fit for purpose.or my money back.

One last thing,I had a"stop" notice drop through my letterbox yesterday, some one has reported me for displaying my faults and Engineers report in the rear screen,so I`m sorry to say that I`ve had to remove my condemnation of LTI and KPM.It had to happen but there are still many ways I can keep all informed,so if you see a Blue Landrover parked out side KPM with a few signs in it give me a Toot !

Watch my web site for new additions http://lticrap.mysite.orange.co.uk/

Everyone I know who's asked for help has been fobbed off, except for one, their solicitor wrote him a letter, then sent him a bill for it.

I expect the costs to be between £1000-£2000,lot of money to try and achieve justice, but it has to be done, good old Barclaycard.! Already spent nearly £1000.

LTDA have a copy of every thing, was hoping they might print a story to warn all you other guys.

Have not tried my MP yet ,might be an idea.

Appeared at SGS for my "stop Notice" this morning ,they only checked for removal of my signs, glad they did`nt do a full test, probably would have failed on the brakes !

Members don't pay.

Member's get all the help that they need, trust me I've been there, and seen countless other cases.

No one is forcing anyone to join the LTDA, you have a choice of the LCDC or the TGWU. If your not in any, then you have no voice, or a very liberal attitude to spending your own money?

It's a lonely old world with little support out there.
