Evening chaps went and saw my local lti dealer the otherday, didn't seem to want to sell me a TX4 Gold,Silver or driver not keen on selling me manual transmission either?????

Said he was trying to do the best for me as a new cabbie on costs etc.....

Said didn't need air con, manual trans cabs don't hold their money and the only colour that held its resale value was black!!!.

Even though i wouldn't buy a gold didn't wanna sell me one even though he'd pocket an extra £6000???

What do you guys think the reasons are behind all this??? Was the guy just being helpfull or were there other shadowy reasons for all this.

My guess is they are trying to get shot of what they have already in stock.
News is out that the tx4 is sheite and quite a few boys who would have been buying a new one are waiting to see if the problems are going to be fixed.

Of course, he'll be trying to get rid of pre-registered stock.

Pheeeew Sussex cancel the ambulance and the men in white coats

If you think about the new E7 try to wangle the electric doors at no extra cost just say you will take one if they are included

Do the manuals not hold there money then or certain colours?

I thought at the end of the day if it was low mileage, 2nd hand and looked after you wouldn't really be bothered about the colour????

If your serious about being a Taxi driver, I'd opt for the auto version.

Thats a lot of clutch changes.

Check what your potential authority will license as a taxi.

I would steer well clear of the TX4 if you don't need to buy one.

I am not sure how it would balance out, two guys who had auto's were paying an extra £30/40 per week in fuel compared to my manual.

Dont get me wrong I am all for an easier life, for example the family car is an auto and is absolutely brilliant. But for work if it was going to cost me an extra approx £1500/2k per annum - then I think you need to think about it.

One other thing, do they do the E7 with an auto box?
