Apart from Sussex and Dusty who have better memories than some Elephants I know, I don't suppose anyone remembers the debates we had with Trafford cabbies when they found out that a member of the public had exercised his right to apply for a taxi proprietor’s license and against all odds achieved his aim.

Well we had lots of Trafford cabbies circulating on TDO and even some who thought they would become Trafford cabbies just for the fun of it even though they didn't have a Trafford license.

We had one gal who was a real gem and very polite and rather took a shine to me. lol

This gal was really pizzed off that one guy in Trafford was smarter than her and he had not only acquired one licence but five.

Anyway, I just thought I'd tell you that the gal in question dear old Shirley Butt managed to get herself a free plate of which I am sure we are all happy especially when you consider the fuss she and her colleagues made about Trafford issuing more plates. I understand she now has three and perhaps she got lucky and bought one and got two free?

I don't know how many of our Trafford subscribers got free plates after condemning the individual who started the ball rolling but I did hear a rumour that the clueless NTA Trafford bigwig who was and probably still is a static feature at the meeting of mindless gathering, is contemplating setting up his own radio company? Perhaps that’s why he wants to stop his colleagues on Trafford from working on taxiphone radio system in Manchester?

I hear that Manchester councillors are to take a mental arithmetic test in English, well at least that’s who they advertise it? lol They say necessary in order to weed out undesirable elements, such as the ex Mayor of Sefton
but precisely what he has to do with adding up is beyond me?
