Well that's a week since I picked up 'LR05'

So far I've discovered:

1 - Mann and Overton survive on organised chaos.

2 - The Overdrive switch was u/s.

3 - There's a coolant leak from the rear heating matrix, and the front one was jammed on hot.

4 - The clock light did'nt work

5 - The drivers door central locking did'nt work.

After leaving it with them ALL day Friday, I arrive to find half the above had still not been rectified. One shouting match later, I have both workshop managers and the salesman sorting out another appointment on Wednesday.
FFS, talk about [edited by admin] up and brewerys.

That said, I accept all the above are small faults and the taxi drives well, sounds smooth for a Ford, and looks the business. If it stays like this for the next three years, I'll be chuffed.

Let's hope their 3 year warranty is worth the paper, and a little bit more.

5 - The drivers door central locking did'nt work.

Talking about the TX range.

Does anyone know how Mr Bexley is doing?

Or have LTI had him disappeared?

I chatted to him via E-bay of all places a few weeks ago.
He's 'in negotiations' and cannot say much. I'm sure he'll post an update when he can.

The staff at M&O are ok, there just is'nt enough of them to deal with all the drivers who have bought new Taxi's over the last couple of years, and all the warranty work this has brought.

I paid £24'500 for a Gold 05 with 70K.

To 'qualify' for this free Insurance, 2 years meter, a years accountancy etc you have to take a minimum £15K of Taxi finance.

The Intrest rate is better than a bank loan, but obviously not as good as a bigger cash deposit.

Back in Wednesday AND Thursday for the rear coolant leak. Lets see what it's like when it gets light.

If ever any TV producers want some real reality TV that will capture their audience, just come and film in the drivers waiting room / service reception. FFS, you could'nt make it up.

There was shouting, swearing, repeat visits by 3 drivers as they fixed one problem, and caused another, there was nearly fisticuffs between a driver and the new service manager, then some other guy then decided to block the ramp in protest starting another barmy off between the staff and other drivers who wanted their cabs back . . . Jesus! The 'flagship' showroom?

I've enquired with the warranty people, and apparantly I can go back to my old garage, as long as I inform them first for approval. Thank god. =D>

The vehicles fine thank you Skippy, a few nuisance things, but the vehicle is 3 years old, and to be expected.

My critisism is directed at the staffing (not the staff) levels at M&O. They've sold thousands of TX4's over the last couple of years, now the warranty work is coming back to them, and they can't cope.

The leaks gone.

I've noticed it's a bit sluggish on the Motorway, cruising on the flat at around 65. I kinda expected a bit more, my old TX1 sat at the same speed. Does anyone know anything about the 'EGR' valve? Does that help with the vehicles overall speed?

Get it blanked off if it isn't already, it will save having to get it cleaned out all the time, and you will get slightly better economy and it makes no difference to the emissions. (the same thing had to be done with the metros)
Then give these a bell http://www.solware.co.uk/car-performance-chips/
or super chips, they will make it go like the proverbial and give you even better fuel economy

Yes I can hear the warranty people now when they notice that it's been re-mapped.

'See you Mr GBC, been nice chatting and all that . . .'

Thank's Skippy, but I'll leave it until the Insurance warranty expires.
