Look I don't know if there is SUD or not in your manor, although last time I was up there it was mobbed.

But the issue the courts, if they follow case law, should take note of is if there is real evidence/facts of no SUD, not real evidence/facts of SUD.

Bit confusing, but IMO the law is weighted in favour of Mr Skull and Mr Taylor.

If it was about demand, those on the Interested Parties List (IPL) would have got their plates years ago, and before the 500 PH that cover the demand that doesn’t exist.

Wakey, wakey Saf, a driver makes a living out of covering demand, the only problem is, he has to rent someone’s taxi instead of driving his own.

It has been said many times before: double shifted taxis become single shifted.

ALI T i know you did not dupe anyone in to buying the plate you have stated that b4 and thats fair enough you did not lie to the guy and if it comes back to bite him in the tail he cant say he was not warned of the possiable risks as you say "his choice not mine"

I Think we would both agree that reports that are commissioned half the time are not worth the paper they are printed on and they never give a true picture of the real facts or reality of the situation they relate to.
I have no problem with anyone challenging any report I think we should all do this at times or we will be walked all over by the people in so called charge of us.
you know in the past that when the word got out a survey was getting done every rank in the city was full of taxis 24/7 at the end of the day if a report suits your cause you will accept its finding and you will also in some cases try to ensure that it has the out come you want this is nothing new in the big bad world we live in not that it makes it right
I have never disagreed that the system regulating taxis is wrong and should not be challenged I have challenged the system and the people who run it many a time iam like you I don’t accept what people or authorities say at first glance. Half the time it’s a load of tosh the talk




Cant disagree with you there but what I would say is that the PH market is in decline takings are down and the plates returned in the last year have seen the first decrease in PH on the roads (for a few years) a small decrease I may add but it would have been larger if the PH company’s had not put on there own cars.

I have talked with other drivers/owners and we have come to the conclusion that with the drop in work and increase in fuel and running costs it is getting to the point that there will be a decrease in driver and PH numbers over the next couple of years


The truth is both drivers/owners in both the taxi and PH trades are working longer hours to make the same cash they were over the last few years.




Could it be the credit crunch and people are using other means to get from A to B to save a few quid????
Along with government subsidies but they have been there for years anyway

the info is readily available for anyone with a slight degree of intellegence.
and a little bit of determination.
and while youre at it explain the workings if the current cases,in youre own words of course,you dont have to be technical,just concice in youre approach and understanding.

I believe plate restrictions are fundamentally wrong and artificial plate values are obscene. I believe every driver should have the right to own his own cab instead of lining the pockets of greedy scumbags. I don't just agree with everything Skull, Jasbar and Ali T say but they make a lot more sense than the likes of you.

Not many drivers up here paying £300 a week for a shared drive nor anyone stupid enough to pay £50,000 for a piece of council owned plastic.

I wouldn't want to be part of your trade saf. I wouldn't pay £50k for a plate. I wouldn't pay £300 (or even £200) for a shared drive. I wouldn't want to be stuck with the gas guzzling LTI shi*te you guys have to put up with.
And I wouldn't put up with a council that thinks it's above the laws of Scotland.
You saf and your ilk are the insignificant ones. One day you may just realise that.
