This is where you really let yourself down Trev.

Would you pursue a legal action with no prospect of recompense, while costing yourself a fortune?

Oh and btw, I know you say these things just to be a tit sometimes but lets be serious for a moment

My post was tongue-in-cheek regarding how many words it takes to say..... they won...

You are a di*k of the highest order. Don't you read anything? No one has backed down. The further Colky and Co, want to take this little matter the better. CRT's members will boot them off committee and will ultimately withdraw from a very expensive legal action with brussel-sprout.

Colky and Co. only wanted a gagging order to silence us up to the AGM. They fear not being re-elected, so they used the members money to shut us up. They are now, way out in no man's land and being shot at from both sides.

What's the difference between and egg and ham sandwich?

Answer: the Hen was involved, the pig, committed.....

If I'm a dick, that would make you a fanny.....damn dont like where this is going.

I take it you dont take defeat particularly well? :D

I would have thought being a Scot you'd be used to that by now

Just in case you've not noticed I'm still posting on this forum with a blog just waiting to go live across the pond.

People are going to lose interest over the next few weeks but in the run up to the AGM, after the year, things will change.

The minute I get any gagging order I switch to America, it's that simple. Colky and Co sent out a letter to the membership of CRT a few weeks ago telling them not to ask questions about how the company was being run as they would not be answered.

Then they embarked on this legal process without the members consent purely to shut us up on the run up to the AGM. Even if they get re-elected the sheer cost of the legal process will bring them down.

CRT is run like a gravy train, it's way top heavy in overpaid management and that includes the Cabal they call a committee. I bet CRT's wages bill is at least twice that of City Cabs.

Oh and btw, I got a witness citation delivered a few weeks ago without any trouble over a different matter. It makes you wonder how the Sheriff Officers couldn't find my address a second time around.

Today on the Andrew Marr show John Major said, "You win a good war if you win in the end, not if you win the first skirmish."

Couldn't have put it better myself.

And, when you win a skirmish that the opponent has ceded to you, is prepared to let you have, was it worth engaging in the skirmish in the first place.

Who knows, a letter from lawyers months ago issuing the threat of legal action may have had the same effect, for a spend of a few pounds rather than the thousands that's been incurred.

Rather, it was decided to try to chop off the branches of the diseased tree, rather than chop it down and dig out the roots. Now, the tree is still standing, the disease still rampant, and becoming ever more virulent. The problem has just got worse.

Also when edinburgh boy says -

edinburgh boy wrote:
THEY WILL NEVER SUCCEED IN THEIR ENDEAVOURS THEY ARE A PAIR OF CLOWNS.THE EDINBURGH TAXI TRADE HAVE JUST WET THEIR PANTS AT THEM. r u a clown 2

- isn't this just an act of self delusion, a pitiful stab at hope rather than reality? The language of despair. A refusal to accept fear as the first step to common sense.

Grow up edinburgh boy. Ignore what's before you and you will be heading for the toilet. You and your ilk need to put your brain in gear before engaging your mouth. Else you will just be playing into my hands.

My situation is well within my control. I haven't shelled out shed loads for absolutely no effect, a worthless waste of cash. Possibly even YOUR cash, or at least other average Joes like you.

Are you happy about this?

Very curious when you consider that your address is on your recently renewed taxi licence.

They didn't want to find you Skull. The plan was for the notice to be served on me, at the last legally possible moment, for me to panic, to shecht myself and put my head in the sand while the legal eagles went before the bench to shaft me.

Well, they got that wrong didn't they? Methinks they underestimated their foe. They should have realised by now that when I'm attacked I invariably attack as the first and usually best form of defence. It worked here.

As for you Skull, they most certainly didn't want you there. They were hoping the judge would grant the interdict against you in absentia, claiming they had made reasonable attempts to find you.

However, when your address is publicly available, and they would reasonably know this, they have mislead the Court. I'd reckon that the bench will take a dim view of this.

Indeed, is there a case for a charge of malpractice here by the legal team? Doesn't it appear to go way beyond what could be deemed reasonable, rather it being a deliberate attempt to inflict an Interdict against an individual unopposed? Wouldn't that be a clear breach of Human Rights? Is the system designed to allow "gagging orders" to be imposed willy nilly? What kind of message would that send to a supposedly free and democratic society?

No, our pursuers appear to be playing fast and loose with the system, racking up ever more costs in the process, making mistakes, and paying even more of others' cash for them. The bill just keeps climbing.

Perhaps this is acceptable to those who may be levied to pay for this?

BTW As things stand we, don't actually know whether the Interdicts have been imposed. I haven't had any formal legal confirmation of this, from the Court or the Lawyers, and the Skull hasn't even been notified of any intent to seek one against him.

That may well be the case, but it's worth remembering they now have nothing to lose, whilst their opponents have plenty to lose.

I don't think he was shocked at all, CC.

In Scotland we have a saying - Ye canna get the breeks aff a bare erse.
With that in mind, what is the point of this legal action? It's financial suicide for the pursuers.

Methinks CC isn't paying attention.

There again he has a reputation of seeing text, deciding he doesn't have to read it because his "superior" mind knows all, then makes a ham fist of responding to it.

Read it again CC.

I was not impressed by the shock and awe tactic, I instantly recognised that the opportunity we've been working for had been delivered up - a long, expensive case that can't be "won" and which will cost shed loads of members' cash while laying open the very workings of the company.

I warrant that if this does go any distance, we're gonna know more about how the company runs than anyone else, even those who are members.

But don't mention this. That's a wee secret between us CC.

Jim Taylor, 56, a taxi driver from Edinburgh, picks his top five Hibs players.
1 Pat Stanton His leadership qualities and service to the team were an inspiration.

2 Franck Sauzee It really lifted the credibility of the team having a player of that quality. He added a certain 'je ne sais quoi'.

3 Gordon Smith His quality, ability and grace always symbolised the kind of football Hibs like to play.

4 Rob Jones I watched him when Nish scored against Falkirk in August, and the expression on his face showed it really mattered whether we win or lose.

5 Erich Schaedler His suicide in 1985 really detracted from a playing career that he never received enough praise for.
