Yes Mr Scanner, there is always an element of repitition in these kind of things, try reading any of the trade press, for example, at least there is a plurality of views on here.
I would agree that my own contributions include a large element of repitition, because the same old points come up time and time again, and therefore the same old points have to be wheeled out to counter them.
For example, we had a thread on Edinburgh the other week, the same old points and counter points, but if they're made, then are you saying that those with contrary views shouldn't counter them?
Indeed you yourself posted the same boring old counter-de-limitation views in another thread recently (from the STF's website), which have been made and countered on numerous occassions, so if they are countered again (which I will do shortly, sorry I forgot about your posts until I read this thread) then presumably you will consider this boring? It seems to me a simple matter of you not liking the arguments and trying to deflect the debate onto another matter, which in itself is another 'boring' old tactic on sites of this kind.
As for castigating those who post the same old views time and time again, then if people don't want to post or have nothing to say then I don't think they should criticise those who do - again this seems to be perverting the argument somewhat - I have no objection to people just reading and/or making the occassional post, but to castigate the more prolific posters seems a bit off.
And of course people will put forward the same old views - it wouldn't appear very credible if we were changing them all the time.
Everyone is entitled to their say, but to call viewpoints on issues 'boring' without even expressing a viewpoint on the issues yourself is a bit rich.
